Participants are introduced to the basics of the sport in a fun, engaging, and safe environment. Rowers are introduced to the basics of the sport, learning rowing terminology, how to handle the equipment and the elements of proper rowing technique. Also covered are boat safety and the concepts of physical well-being, including hydration, core strength, flexibility, and nutrition.
