Geometry (for credit)

Prerequisites: Algebra I
This course is equivalent to a full year of Geometry and the workload is intensive. Topics covered include logic, triangles, circles, quadrilaterals, inequalities, similarities, right triangle trig, constructions, surface area and volume, analytical geometry, and transformations. Portledge students can take this course for course credit by passing a final exam, but this does not exempt them from having to take four years of mathematics at Portledge. This course can also be taken for non-credit to strengthen skills in preparation for the upcoming school year. Students who do not attend Portledge can also take this course for course credit if their school permits.
