Algebra I (for credit)

In the Algebra course, we will develop the basic skills needed in algebra including but not limited to solving various types of equations and inequalities, factoring, operations with rational expressions, and systems of linear equations in two variables, as well as functions and their graphs. Scientific and graphing calculator use is permitted. This course will give you the opportunity to develop your logical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as apply your prior knowledge. A solid foundation of the necessary concepts and skills will be provided to advance you to Geometry.

Jessica Tenzer currently teaches 6th grade Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1 at Portledge. She graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and a Minor in Mathematics. Jessica received her Masters in Math Education from Hofstra University. She is excited to be working with your children this summer to help them advance in their educational career.
