NEW! Marine Biology

Long Island Sound offers a unique setting for hands-on marine adventures. Students learn the basics in biology, ecology, and oceanography. They also learn about the aquatic life in Long Island through hands-on activities and field trips. As scientists, we can learn how a fish lives its life by observing how it looks. We can determine its diet, how fast it swims, and the habitat in which it lives by interpreting the clues that nature provides. We will explore sharks, aquatic turtles, fish, crustaceans, mollusks and learn about their amazing adaptations. Field trips further enhance the exploration of marine life on Long Island.
