Rockets and the Forces in Space

In this fun-filled course, students get to combine hands-on physics and rocketry to explore the science of flight and related topics such as gravity, lift, thrust, drag, air pressure, and the Bernoulli effect. Students participate in fun experiments involving gyroscopes, hand boilers, air currents, light, water atomizers, and plasma globes. There will also be demonstrations involving super magnets, electricity, and sound. Scientific principles behind each experiment will be thoroughly explained and discussed. Students will also learn how to build and launch model rockets powered by air, water, solid fuel, baking soda, and dry ice. What a blast! Taught by Eric Johnson
